“The Duchess Bakes a Cake” is written entirely in rhyme, with the phrase “A lovely light luscious delectable cake!” in it over and over again. The rhythm and rhyme of “The Duchess Bakes a Cake” is utterly charming and my siblings, and all the other little kids who I’ve seen listen to it, loved crying all together, “A lovely light luscious delectable cake!” A very fun read aloud!
